Friends of the Mead Dear Parents, Friends of the Mead: Spring & Summer 2010 Events Calendar The Friends of the Mead class reps met a couple of weeks ago and have drawn up a calendar of FOM events for the rest of the school year. These are, in the main, familiar events for those who have been at the school a while. For newcomers, more details will be provided as we approach the dates, so you will know what's going on to. Please can you make a note in your diaries of the following. We are hoping that with lots of notice we can get some really good events with lots of people. Thursday 11th February: Valentines Disco (for the children, details as per previous note). Friday 26th February: Cake Sale after school at home time (fundraising for FOM) Friday 19th March: Quiz Night (a social for parents: food, drink and general knowledge) Wednesday 28th April: Blanket Sale (essentially a fun car-boot-sale on blankets for the kids) Saturday 15th May: Race Night (a social for the parents: food, drink and light gambling) Saturday 12th June: Summer Fayre (earlier in the year than normal to avoid the World Cup. There is an England game that day, but in the evening, 7.30pm kick off.) These are the main events for the rest of the year.
